We have been making pretzels the old-fashioned way since 1931 using a family recipe that dates back to the late 1800s. Hand-rolling and hand-twisting takes longer than a machine that stamps out pretzel shapes, but the gentle treatment of the dough allows the yeast to achieve its full rising potential. Our process combined with our sourdough recipe results in a flavor and texture that cannot be duplicated by mass production.
